The National Black Justice Coalition supports an end to the death penalty.  Evidence indicates that capital punishment is racially discriminatory, unfairly and arbitrarily employed, and does not deter crime.  Moreover, we believe that life is precious and government does not have the right to take the lives of its citizens.
